Kayany established 9 GHATA portable schools, bringing quality education to the most vulnerable Syrian refugee children and youth residing in Informal Tented Settlements (ITSs) in the Bekaa Valley.
KAYANY MIDDLE SCHOOL IN BAR ELIAS SUPPORTED BY THE SHABAKE2 PROJECT

Within the framework of Shabake 2 project “strengthening resilience of Lebanese Civil Society in order to improve crisis prevention and management” – supported by AFD – Agence Francause de Developpement and the Centre de Crise et De Soutien and implemented by the French public agency for international technical cooperation Expertise France, Kayany middle school in Bar Elias has been able to maintain its commitment to providing free, quality accredited education to a total of 221 students. This is achieved through the implementation of morning shifts, serving students in grades 7 to 9.
The Shabake 2 Project was designed in the framework of the localization of aid agenda and the need to strengthen Lebanese NGO capacities so that local recipients can take the lead in responding to crises generally and to the Syrian-refugee crisis in Lebanon. It aims to strengthen purpose-driven, technically sound and locally rooted NGOs to support their abilities in weathering the crises as they arise, gaining greater financial autonomy and contributing to Lebanon's recovery.
KAYANY PRIMARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL IN MAJDAL ANJAR SUPPORTED BY THE SHABAKE2 PROJECT

This is accomplished through the implementation of two shifts: the morning shifts cater to students in grades 3 to 6, while the afternoon shifts serve students in grades 7 to 9.

BOGHOSSIAN FOUNDATION ROTARY GERMANY SCHOOL IN MEKSI
JANUARY 2017 - ONGOING
Kayany established a new school: The Boghossian Foundation – Rotary Germany school in Meksi. Kayany formed a partnership with JESUIT REFUGEE SERVICE to coordinate and operate in the administration of the school.

PRIMARY SCHOOL IN SAADNAYEL
2015 - ONGOING
Following a successful partnership with AUB-CCECS, Kayany Foundation established two new schools in partnership with Friends of Kayany, Inc., a US nonprofit organization that shares the charitable mission of educating Syrian refugee children in Lebanon. The project is divided into four components: education, child protection, nutrition, and food safety. Education experts from AUB train the teachers on classroom management and child-centered teaching methods.
In 2023, Kayany formed a partnership with MAPS to coordinate and operate in the administration of the school.
In 2015, Nobel Prize Winner Malala Yousafzai, established her first all-girls school in Lebanon in partnership with Kayany during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on her 18th birthday.
In 2016, Kayany established a second school through Malala Fund in Saadnayel.
In 2023, Kayany formed a partnership with MAPS to coordinate and operate in the administration of the second Malala school in Saadnayel.
Kayany established two schools: The Teach for Hope Syria school and the Kuzbari – Nahreya school. Kayany formed a partnership with JESUIT REFUGEE SERVICE to coordinate and operate in the administration of the schools in the Bar Elias area.
UNESCO MIDDLE SCHOOLS - SAADNAYEL AND MEKSEH
APRIL 2019 - CONTRACT ENDED IN JULY 2021
Within the framework of the UNESCO’s project “Supporting the Completion of Basic Education for Syrian Refugees in Lebanon” – funded by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, we have established two new UNESCO Middle Schools in Saadnayel and in Mekseh. The schools teach the official Lebanese curriculum to 250 Syrian refugees ages 11 to 18.
